Jon will join TradeRisks from JP Morgan where he was global head of structured credit trading.
Alex Pilato, founder and existing chief executive of TradeRisks, and Slater worked together at JP Morgan from 1989, and also worked together from 1997 at Tokai Bank Europe.
Slater subsequently re-joined JP Morgan in 2000 where he has spent the past 11 years developing and leading its Structured Credit Trading business.
Slater said the current financial and regulatory landscape means that end-users of financial markets are keener than ever to receive unbiased advice and support in implementing funding and risk-management solutions.
