The company said that the appointment is part of its long-term strategy to enhance its product offering to clients and grow its base metals team.
Based in London, Underhill will report to joint desk managers Mark Sedgwick and Steve Walter.
Underhill, a former board member of the London Metal Exchange, previously worked for Newedge Group and also held senior positions at Bank of America Corporation, HSBC Holdings and Mitsui Bussan Commodities.
Tullett Prebon global head of energy and commodities Andrew Polydor said that Underhill’s experience broadens their products offering into the options market. The expansion of the base metals desk demonstrates their commitment to grow their metals franchise and deliver a first rate service to their clients.
