According to the data released by the multinational company, it has a team of 340 advisers.
Mathews will be accountable for the business policies and management, with direct responsibility of all private wealth management offices in the US, including New York, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami and Stamford, Connecticut.
He will succeed Jason Chandler and will report to Bob Mulholland, head of wealth management and investment solutions for UBS in the Americas.
Most recently, Mathews was working as a regional director for the Southeast region of UBS Wealth Management Americas.
Mathews started his career as an adviser for EF Hutton & Co in Tampa, Florida and he joined PaineWebber in 1994, and ultimately UBS, when it acquired the company.
