The firm said that in his new role, Michael will focus primarily on working with energy entrepreneurs.
Michael was previously a vice president with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in Houston.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Michael co-founded Spring Street Partners, a Houston-based long/short equity hedge fund where he served as co-portfolio manager.
In addition to his public markets experience, Michael has structured a number of energy-related private equity transactions with a cumulative value of over $200m in equity and debt.
US Capital Advisors CEO and managing partner Patrick Mendenhall said Michael’s unique background combines wealth management, buyside investment management and private equity experience.
"We feel that Michael’s skillset is a great fit with our firm’s focus on helping energy company owners and executives build value and manage wealth," Mendenhall said.
