Moore has been with Virginia Community Bank since 2008, serving as senior vice president and chief credit officer.
He boasts nearly 30 years of commercial lending and development experience.
After graduating with his MBA, Moore began his career in commercial lending at banks in Atlanta, Georgia and Roanoke, Virginia.
Additionally, Moore worked as vice president of development for Roanoke-based health care development company Smith Packett Med-Com before returning to the Charlottesville area in 2002.
Stepping back from the role of president and CEO is Pierce Stone. He has been director, CEO, and chairman of the Board of Virginia Community Bank since the bank’s founding in 1976.
Stone said Mr Moore will make an excellent CEO for Virginia Community Bank.
"I am confident in his leadership ability, and I look forward to working with him in his new role," Stone said.
