In his role, Rushton will be responsible for promoting the growth and expansion of Walker Crips’ private client business.

Rushton will also take the lead in evolving investment strategy and policy to meet the challenges prevailing in the investment industry with a focus on refining the retail offering, initially implementing aspects of the RDR.

He will report to Walker Crips CEO Rodney FitzGerald.

FitzGerald said that he will build on the core qualities and values that already attract and retain our extremely loyal clients; and he will spearhead the profitable invigoration and expansion of our private client investment business.

Previously Rushton was head of offering for UK wealth management at BNP Paribas.

Before this he was in charge of corporate development at Fortis and has also had stints at Cazenove Capital Management and UBS.
