The bank said that it initiated its expansion into New Jersey to meet the increase in demand for its products and services in the region’s companies.

James King will be acting as the regional vice president.

Wells Fargo East region commercial banking head John Manning said: "Wells Fargo has a focused strategy on New Jersey, and establishing a formal RCBO in Central New Jersey is part of the overall investment we are making in the region.

"Central New Jersey is part of a larger commitment to grow our business throughout the state. Jim King, a fellow Rutgers graduate, has deep New Jersey roots, and a breadth of experience and knowledge working with middle market companies."

The new office will see the relocation of all Basking Ridge team members to Metro Park.

Apart from the new office, Wells Fargo also has New Jersey Regional Commercial Banking Offices in Haddon Township and Summit with another satellite office in Princeton.
